Dutch in Hong Kong

Hi, I am currently working (interning) with a Trainee Visa in Hong Kong. I want to apply for the multiple entry visa of 6 months. Is this possible without having a HKID? I am applying for a HKID, but it is unsure if I will get one (not staying 180+ days in HK). The process is taking very long.

Since you don't have a HKID, the possibility for getting a multiple entry visa for mainland China in Hong Kong is little.
