China Visa Exemption for Dutch citizens

I read that Dutch citizens are no longer required to obtain a Chinese Visa for a stay of not over 15 days.
Do I get a Visa on arrival or just the entry stamp in my passport?
What if I overstay the 15 days for whatever reason?
Appreciate your advice.

No visa is needed and you just enter by an entry stamp. If you have to stay longer, it is suggested to apply for a temporary stay permit at local entry and exit administration bureau. You can also go to Hong Kong and then enter mainland China again to obtain another 15-day visa-free visit.
