About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Singapore - Shanghai - Toronto (Canada)

Hello,

When I fly home to Toronto (Canada) from Singapore I am stopping in Shanghai from Friday - Sunday (2 nights stay in hotel).

From my research, i think i qualify for the 72 hr free transit. How do I apply for it? When I get off the plane in Shanghai, what do I need to show Custom/Immigration so i can leave the airport to go downtown?

Thank you so much.

After you get off the plane in Shanghai, you just follow the direction signs for 144h visa-free transit counter and apply for a 144hrs stay permit. You need to show your flight ticket to the next destination and your passport.
