About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HK CAN KUL separate tickets

Hi

I will be flying HKG to CAN and then from CAN to KUL on a separate ticket with a 6 hour lay over, am I eligible for the 24 hour visa free transit. And will i be able to leave to collect bags to re check in?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. Since you are flying on separate tickets, you will approach to 24 hour visa free transit counter upon landing in Guangzhou where you will apply for a temporary entry permit that will be granted to you to be allowed to collect your luggage and to perform a recheck.
