round trip Visa

I have Iranian nationality and going to travel to UK through a chinese airline which will have stop at Guangzhou. since each stop is more than 30 hrs I would like to visit the city on the way to UK and going back from there. for that do I need to get a double entry tourist visa from general council of China?

Thank you very much. Since I have 6 months UK visa and I might go to UK through China more than twice in 6 months. Can I get 6 months multiple China Visa then??
