Karen, assuming that you wanted to ask whether you are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, the answer is no if you intend to use a round trip flight like:

Seattle - Shanghai - Seattle

Anyway, if you use an itinerary of this kind:

Seattle - Shanghai - Vancouver

or

Seattle - Shanghai - Seoul - Seattle

Your itinerary will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. There has to be a third country.
