Technical stop at Urumqi airport

Hello!

I am flying to Bali in November, and I change flights in Guangzhou first (3hours), and then have a technical stop in Urumqi (2hours 10 minutes). Do I need a visa for the stop in Urumqi? The transit time will not exceed 24 hours. I have a Slovenian (EU) passport.

I heard that technical stop in Urumqi won't affect your using the 24-hour visa-free transit in China, but you need to double check this with the airline.
