About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Fly into Shanghai out to Osaka, flight to Seoul then Seoul to Dubai

Would the above flights qualify for the 72 hour free visa to China please?

Thank you for your response. I apologise: The itinerary is: Manchester - Dubai - Dubai - Shanghai - Shanghai to Osaka - Osaka to Seoul then Seoul to Dubai - internal flights in Dubai to Jeddah and return to Dubai flying back to Manchester.

Please confirm if eligible for the 144 hour visa free transit?

Joanna, you didn't mention where from do you plan to arrive into Shanghai. OK, I will assume that you will fly from UK to Shanghai and if I'm right, your itinerary is:

UK - Shanghai - Osaka...

This itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.

72 hour visa free transit has been replaced in Shanghai by 144 hour visa free transit a couple of years ago.

In reality, the only portion that is of interest for Chinese immigration authorities is:

Dubai - Shanghai - Osaka

This is perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, assuming that you are a citizen of 53 eligible countries.
