Hainan Visa On Arrival

My Indonesian colleagues have some important meeting in Dongguan, but have no time to prepare visa. Is it possible if they go to Hainan and get Visa On Arrival in there? While they have not been issued a Chinese visa before by embassies and consulates

Counting on Hainan VOA is definitely a risky venture. The first obstacle is the ground staff in the country from where you plan to depart to Hainan. Here we have several testimonies telling us that the passengers were denied boarding without an invitation for 30 day visa free access to Hainan. In other words, you risk to be denied boarding in the origin country is huge and I sincerely do not suggest that you rely on that option.

In my opinion, the only option that you could do in such a short time is to contact Hong Kong based travel agencies that is willing, and I'm more than certain that they will accept the offer, to organize a trip to Dongguan for your colleagues covered by 6-Day Visa Exemption for Tourists to Pearl River Delta. This option is totally legal and if you start right now to send your inquiries to several different agencies, at least a couple of them will respond positively and will quickly organize a trip and also obtain all the necessary approvals for visa free travel of your colleagues to Dongguan. Anyway, to be allowed to do that, you are advised to act right now.
