Does Malaysian eligible for VOA to Shenzhen (will be travelling from Hong Kong)?

The recent practice indicates that Malaysian citizens are not eligible for 5 day Shenzhen VOA, unless they have been granted a Chinese visa previously by Chinese embassy or consulate. I suggest you to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.0
