Travelling from New York to Tokyo for 3 days, then to Shanghai for 2 days, then return to New York.

Travelling from New York to Tokyo for 3 days, then to Shanghai for 2 days, then return to New York. Am I eligible for transit visa?

Assuming your nationality qualifies, you won't need a visa if your flight from Shanghai to New York is non-stop. If there is a landing in Japan or mainland China, no matter how brief, you will need a visa in advance.
