About:Marriage Registration in China

Does our American Marriage apply in China

My husband is Chinese and we were married in America, is our marriage legal in China if we move to Shanghai? Or would we have to be legally married in China?

You need to notarize your marriage certificate first and then have it authenticated by the China embassy or consulate in your residence area to make your marriage recognized in China.
