About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Fly in from Hong Kong

Thank you Saul. Out of interest, if I fly into Shanghai via Hong Kong where I would stay for 1 night but less than 24 hours and then fly directly back to London from Shanghai is that ok for the 144 hour visa.

LON-HKG-SHA-LON and LON-SHA-HKG-LON can both be completed without a visa. But LON-HKG-SHA-HKG-LON will require a visa.

So you cannot take Cathay Pacific. By the way, to avoid confusion when you travel, it is not a “144 hour visa” (which doesn’t exist). It is a transit WITHOUT visa.
