About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 Visa Staying at Airbnb accommodation

I Travel from Hongkong via chengdu to Bangkok on a 144 Hour Visa. I prebooked in chengdu an accommodation for 7 Nights with Airbnb. Do i get any problems at chengdu immigration with an Airbnb instead of a hotel booking? And do i have to Register at the police Station? Or what else i have to do? Thx for answer

Seven nights in Chengdu will take you over the 144 hours limit and will require a visa. You must register at the local police station and you will need the co-operation of your Airbnb host to do so.

In this case you are definitely fine and eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Regarding your question, I will just repeat what Saul has already written: You must register at the local police station and you will need the co-operation of your Airbnb host to do so. So, it is legal to stay within Airbnb, but you will have to go with your host to the local police station for registration purposes.
