Accommodation registration printout from hotel/airbnb?

Hello,

I've already received my Z-visa but it will be very tricky for me to get an apartment in Chengdu before arriving. My plan is to stay in an airbnb/hotel for 1 month to find a place to live more permanently. If i stay in a hotel/airbnb, how do i get the accommodation registration printout? Do I need to request it from the hotel/airbnb or do i still need to register?

Usually you can get a copy from the police station responsible for the neighborhood where your hotel or Airbnb is located. If staying in a hotel, you would need to check-in first so they can upload the information to the police. If at an Airbnb then the police will give you your copy at the time of registration.
