About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is ferry exit valid from Guangzhou to Macau?

Hello am arriving with a one way flight to Guangzhou from Korea, then (after 3-4 days) I plan to exit Guandong area BY FERRY from Guangzhou to Macau and then from Macau back to Korea. Will they accept the exit by ferry from China to apply the 144 visa free policy, or is it all based on airport transit? If ok, I guess it is better to artive in Guangzhou already with a ferry ticket to Macau...?

In reality or at least as far as I know, there are no direct ferries from Guangzhou to Macau. To reach Macau from Guangzhou, you will have to take a train to Shenzhen and from there, exactly from Shekou port take a ferry to Macau. You can book your ticket through TurboJet ferry website and keep in mind that you will have to book a ferry even before your departure from Korea to Guangzhou. You will receive an e-confirmation and you will print it out and bring that printout with you as a proof for your 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province. Please, keep in mind that you will have to travel by exactly that ferry you have booked your ticket for.
