visa to china via Ireland

I live in Ireland but have A UK passport what paperwork do I need whan applying for a visa from Ireland or would it be easier to apply in Uk?

Do you have an Irish residence permit? If not, you had better go back to UK to apply. Recently, it seems people cannot apply from a third country if they don't have residence permit there.

thank you I don't have a residencey permit as we are in the EU and don't need them here.I will have to try embassy in Dublin AGAIN!but thank you
