About:China Tourist Visa

What type of visa do I need?

We are flying into Shanghai, then cruising to South Korea, then to Beijing, continuing on to japan. Can you advise me as to which type of visa I need and do I have time to get it prior to an October 26 departure. We have US passports. Thank you.

Peggy, if your route is exactly US - Shanghai - South Korea - Beijing - Japan and you don't have other stops, I think you can qualify for the 144h visa-free transit in Shanghai and Beijing, so you actually don't need to get a visa.
