About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

voluntary surrender

hello sir /maam...if i voluntary surrender to the police station here in shanghai china because of overstayed, what is the possible penalties for me ?

15-day detention or a 10k CNY fine (legally it's not supposed to be both, thanks to someone who pointed out, although you may be forced to pay the fine anyway by local police). However working illegally would incur another 15-day detention and 20k fine.
