Flying to SZX from Europe connecting at PEK - Can I get a visa on arrival

Hi,

I will be staying 5 days in Shenzhen and would apparently be eligible for a visa on arrival under my European passport if my flights were direct ones. However, my inbound flight from Europe is to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and I then have a flight to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX). My return flight to Europe is direct from SZX so no worries there.

Will I still qualify for a visa on arrival in Shenzhen?

I note that wikipedia says that "passengers arriving and departing from Beijing Capital International Airport where they can proceed directly to the sterile transit area without immigration checks":
Not sure if this helps or not.

Thanks.

If you fly to Beijing first, you can't get a visa on arrival for Shenzhen.

What Wikipedia says is for those enjoying the 24-h visa-free transit in Beijing and heading for a third country. However, Shenzhen is apparently not a third country.
