About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Working with resident permit

I'm American and married to Chinese and we own a home, just renewed my two year resident permit. Can I work under the new rules? Should/can I apply for a 10 year resident permit?

If you don't have a work visa, you cannot work in China. I'm afraid you can't get a 10 year residence permit. You can see whether you can get permanent residence, if you can, then you can work in China after getting it.
