About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transfer in China mainland

Hello,

I'm going to Shangai next week for 5 days, after that I'm going to Indonesia. For this flight, I have a transfer in Ghuanzhou of 2 hours. I'm not going out of the airport. Can I do it with the 144h?
Thank you!

No it doesn't work.
You need a tourist visa L for your trip or change your flight to Indonesia (no stop in mainland China).

Are you sure? Because I can't leave the airport so it's not really a stopover.

There is no "I'm not leaving the airport" exemption. You must get a visa or change your flights. Otherwise you will be denied boarding at your origin.
