Shanghai Visit

I was planning a 2 day visit to Shanghai in November, 2019. I have two trips to Europe the end of this month and in October. Was going to drive from Austin to Houston this week to get my Visa for my visit. Is it possible to get a Visa at your office in one visit and do I need to make an appointment? Thanks, Jack
