About:Jinshanling Great Wall

Can you take down the incorrect info about the 980 bus to Jinshanling?

The advice on how to get to Jinshanling from downtown Beijing is incorrect. We followed the advice to take the 980 but this route no longer stops at Jinshanling. Many other tourists followed the same advice. Instead, it takes you to Miyun where taxi scammers wait for tourists.
The correct route is from Wangjing West subway station and costs 50 yuan each way.

Yes, you are correct. The bus no.980 Express will take you to Miyun Country Bus Station. After arriving, you can take a taxi or hire a private car to the scenic area.

HI Rachel, I'm planning to go in a couple of weeks and I have a couple of question...

1 - Would you know or would you tell me if can I find the time of the buses going/coming from there?
2 - Is it possible to go there early in the morning, walk for a while and then come back in the afternoon/evening?

THank you very much,

1. From Dongzhimen: 06:00-20:00; From Miyun Country Bus Station: 04:30-18:30
2. Yes, it is possible to go there early in the morning and come back in the afternoon.

We followed the 980 advice but it didn't work. The bus stop has been moved indoors. The bus no longer stops at the JinShanLing service area. The bus driver laughed at us. We changed course and went to WangJing West station, and easily found the correct bus (there's a big sign). But it wasted 2 hours of our morning, and lots of run around.
