Requirements to work in China

Hi,
I am German, currently staying in Hanoi, Vietnam and want to work as a teacher in China. I was told I need a police report, degree and medical check-up as visa requirements (plus a job of course). I applied for the police report today here at the German embassy and was told in around 3-4 weeks the report would be back here. My issue is now that apparently, the report needs to actually be authenticated/notarized at the Chinese Embassy in Germany (is that true?).

Secondly, I only have a digital version of my degree with me here, the original one is in Germany and from what I learned today it has to also be authenticated by the Chinese embassy in the Netherlands where I got the degree, is that also true? It's not really an option for me to fly back to Europe just to bring my degree to the embassy. Is there another way to get it authenticated in China for example? Also, would it be enough to send the documents via post to the Embassy or would I have to come by in person to get them authenticated?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Yes, the report should needs notarization and authentication before you send them to China to apply for the work permit.

Yes, you also need to authenticate the original copy of your degree in the Chinese embassy in the country where you got it. If it's not convenient for you, you may use an agent to do this for you. I'm not sure whether postal application is accepted.
