About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

144hrs visa exemption

My daughter n I are Swiss nationality. Our trip plan is: fly out from zurich to HKG on 30 Sept transit HKG (1/10) to Shanghai. Will stay in Shanghai from 1-5 October. Can we apply the 144 hrs visa exemption? Thank you for you prompt attention.

Yes, you can apply and be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area under the condition that your onward flight is to a country/territory different than Hong Kong on a direct flight.
