About:China Transit Visa

Transit visa or Tourist visa

With transit visa can I go out from Beijing Airport? I have layover time 18 hours. I‘m holding Thai passport together with resident permit in Germany.

If I will stay outside airport less than 24 hours, which type of visa I should apply?

If your travel route is Country A - Beijing - Country B (except China and Country A), then you are eligible for the 24-hour visa free transit. Your layover time is 18 hours which is long enough to apply for a 24-hour visa-free entry permit if your want to leave the airport.
