About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing to Almaty visa train

I want to land in Beijing from Bangkok and get a train to Almaty, Kazakhstan. The train journey is 4 days, is the 24 transit visa okay?

Of course not. You need a Chinese visa in advance.

You need a tourist (L) visa. Only the overnight train to Hong Kong from Beijing West, which has car for through passengers, is eligible for visa free transit. There is no through train to Kazakhstan so its not eligible.
