About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Applied for L visa & was told to wait for a call. Common?

I applied for a tourist visa for myself and mother. We have identical paper work, I was approved and she was asked to get a letter from her employer, I suspect because her company has the name Chinese as part of their company title, stating what she does and what is the nature of the company. It is a local home attendant agency. Not related to anything in China at all.

I am wondering whether this is common to have an application flagged for that? Also how long should I expect to hear back? My trip is 3 weeks

Though it is a little uncommon, but it normally will not affect the application. Otherwise, they will reject the your mother's visa already. You may hear back within a few working days.
