About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

transit visa in pudong shanghai airport from jeju

I am planning to flight from Jeju back to jakarta on jan 1st 2020, but it stated that I will have a transit in Shanghai for 2h 50m, and it stated that transit visa may be required.
Can someone explain to me, what kind of visa that I need to prepare? is it free or how much the estimated fee for Indonesian. thanks

Stella, if Shanghai with the layover of only 2.5 hours is everything that you will have to do with China, you are definitely and undeniably eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai. In other words, you don't need any kind of visa and you don't have to pay a single yuan, cent or sen :)

I have just to warn you, if you don't travel on a single (through) ticket, that your time in Shanghai is somewhat tight and you will have to be very fast in order to manage all the formalities you are supposed to do and to catch your onward flight to Jakarta on time. Even if you travel on a single (through) visa, you have to be even them very fast because Shanghai airport is really huge and quite time consuming.
