About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

L Visa and S1 Visa

Hi
I am planning to move to China from Hong Kong, for work purpose. My first question is can my dependants apply for S1 visa with my z visa application so that we can go together?

If not, can they go on L visa and then convert to S1 without leaving China?

Your dependants could apply for the S1 visa with your Z visa application.

That is great to know, thanks a lot.

I was confused because the list of required documents for S1/S2 visa included copy of residence permit of the invitee! As per your answer, I assume, that will not be needed, right?
