Transfer from Dongguan to Hong Kong

Hello,

i know if i want to use 144hours visa free, using ferry is the only way to transfer from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. (Korea-shenzhen-Hong Kong).
However, actually i need to leave from Shilong which is in Dongguan.
Could you give me which method i need to use in order to satisfy the 144 hours visa free requirement? Do is still need to use Ferry? or can I use a high speed train?

You should first travel to Guangzhou or Shenzhen from Shilong,Dongguan. Then you could take the airplane or Guangzhou - Hong Kong Intercity Through Train from Guangzhou to HK or take the ferry from Shenzhen to HK.
