You can obtain a SZ VOA when crossing the administrative border from Hong Kong in direction to mainland China, preferably at Lo Wu / Luohu border crossing. This visa allows you to travel within the administrative borders of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, but you are not allowed to travel to Guangzhou. You can return to Hong Kong by every mean of transport, including the most convenient, the high speed train directly from Shenzhen to West Kowloon railway station in Hong Kong.0
