About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Check that my itinerary will work under the 24-hour visa free transit

Hi,

I had a quick question. I am traveling from Vietnam and staying in China for less than 24 hours then onto the US. My itinerary is Vietnam -- Guangzhou--Beijing--USA. I just wanted to confirm that the multiple stops under the 24 hour visa free transit policy were ok going from Guangzhou to Beijing.

Thank you!

Yes, you are fine with 24 hour visa free transit. In reality, the time of your transit is calculated from your first scheduled landing, in your case in Guangzhou, until your last scheduled departure, in your case from Beijing. If this, entire time is less than 24 hours, you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in China. You should just take care to bring your flight tickets in hardy copy (e-tickets printouts) and to declare at check-in in Vietnam that you will fly to US via China using 24 hour visa free transit. That's it.
