hi guys. i will be spending some time in hk, my favorite city in the world, mid-october.

Question

I will also spend five days in Yangshuo.  I enjoy travelling by sea, and wonder if there is a ferry service from HK or Kowloon across to Macau or Shenzhen where I would pick up a train for onward travel.  Thanks!

You can take ferry from Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal to Shekou port (Shenzhen) first. Then take metro line 2 to Shimin center station, and take metro line 4 to North Shenzhen Railway station, and take high speed train to Yangshuo railway station.
