About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is there a time that has to pass between two 144 transit visas?

Hey! I'm going from Germany to Shanghai ( 4 1/2 days stay) then to Japan for 2 weeks. On my way back I'm flying from Japan to Beijng (3 days stay) back to Germany. All with direct flights. Shanghai and Beijing should both be eligable for 144 hour transit visas. Is it possible though to get a 144 hour visa in Shanghai and 2 weeks later get one in Bejing? Thank you

In case that all your flights are direct and you don't have any additional landings within mainland China, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in both Shanghai and Beijing. It is perfectly fine to enjoy two 144 hour TWOVs within two week period. In reality there is no limit.
