About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting on my way home

Hey there! I have a flight from Chiang Mai Thailand to Los Angeles that has a 22 hr layover in Xi’an and from there goes to Chengdu for an 18 hour additional layover, finally going to Jinan for a 2 hour layover. This looks very appealing if I was able to visit both Xi’an and Chengdu during these long layovers. I know this is multi-city and over 24 hours however. Is this possible?

It’s perfectly possible if you have a Chinese visa.

It is implied that without a visa you won't be allowed to travel.
