72-hour transit visa

Our group flies to Shanghai and stays there for 2 days, before boarding on a cruise ship at the cruise terminal in Shanghai.
is a free transitvisa okay, or do we have to arrange a transitvisa through the embassy in Belgium ?

thanks for your reply.
best regards

Hi, if you leave Shanghai for another country (different from your departing country) and no other stop in mainland China, then you are surely eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit.
