In case that you are a Brazilian citizen, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guandong province. You are also allowed to take a train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.
Keep in mind that the only train you are allowed to take is Guangzhou–Kowloon through train departing from Guangzhou East railways station and arriving at Hong Kong Hung Hom railway station. This train takes a bit less than 2 hours for the mentioned route.
Now, just a short guide how to book the train ticket:
- You will need this ticket, in reality an e-confirmation in your hand before the start of your entire travel because this is the proof that you will be really in transit to Hong Kong
- When you decide the day and the time you want to depart from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, you will book a train ticket on this website because you will get an e-confirmation with your name on it.
- Keep in mind that you will have to book this ticket at last 7 days before your intended travel between Guangzhou and Hong Kong because this is the time required for a delivery of your real paper ticket to the accommodation of your choice
- You will have to print out this e-confirmation along with your flight tickets and have them in hard copy
- Upon your check-in in Addis Ababa you will declare that you will travel to Hong Kong via Guangzhou using 144 hour visa free transit. After a short check, you will be allowed to board the plane
- Upon your arrival in Guangzhou, you will approach 144 hour counter where you will fill out the form and present your printouts. Shortly after that, you will get a sticker in your passport and will be allowed to exit the airport.
Please, keep in mind that you have to use exactly that train you have booked your ticket for.
