About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Seoul - Harbin - Beijing - HK- Seoul

For Korean passport holder, does he need China visa for Seoul - Harbin - Beijing - HK- Seoul?

He needs a visa if he is in China for longer than 24 hours (from scheduled arrival time in Harbin to scheduled departure time from Beijing).

How about Seoul - Harbin - HK - Beijing - Seoul? Can he then stay 72 hours in Harbin and 144 hours in Beijing? Thank you!

That's fine. As long as it's always Country A-One transit zone in China-Country B. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can also be A or B.
