Temporary residence permit on a X1 visa - location?
Hello. I have entered China on an X1 single-entry visa as a PhD student of a Chinese university in Shanghai in order to apply for a temporary residence permit. During my first year in China I will live in Beijing to do field work. Can I apply for the temporary residence permit in Beijing, or do I have to go to Shanghai, where my university is (and where my JW202 form was officially authorised)?
