About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is my companion eligible for a transit visa?

I am crew arriving on 18 Aug and departing on 20 Aug. Total stop is 49 hours. I was going to bring my son with me. LHR-PEK-LHR. Does this qualify for a transit Visa or does he need a full tourist Visa.
