About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel without visa

I want to visit all three Disney parks in Asia. My itinerary is US departure arriving in Shang Hai then going to Tokyo then to Hong Kong and return from Hong Kong to Tokyo and back to US. Would I need a visa for China

No, you wouldn't. Having in mind your itinerary, you have created it in really good way. Anyway, you should have the following conditions in mind:

- Your flight from US to Shanghai is not allowed to have any additional landing in mainland China and in Japan
- Your flight from Shanghai to Tokyo is not allowed to have any additional landing in mainland China

If the above conditions are fulfilled, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai.
