About:Xiamen Travel

I will be taking a cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong with a stop in Xiamen.

I am a US citizen. I will be on an extended cruise beginning in Singapore and returning to Singapore. The ship stops in Hong Kong and Xiamen. Do I need to apply for a visa in the US or can I apply in Singapore for a visa when I arrive?

How long will you stay in Xiamen? Generally speaking, you are eligible for 24/144-hour visa-free transit.

Then you are eligible for 24-hour visa-free transit. It is not a visa. You can just follow the guide in the airport.
