About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two stops in Beijing

I am flying on an Irish passport. I currently have two flights booked.
The first is Ireland to Beijing return. The second is Beijing to Tokyo return, with a layover in South Korea both ways.
So I will fly;
Ireland > Beijing (144-hour) > Seoul (layover) > Tokyo > Seoul (layover) > Beijing (24 hour) > Ireland

I hope to use the 144-Hour Free Transit in Beijing during our first stop.
When we land in China I am aware I will need will need to show my itinerary for our flight to Tokyo with our booked seat numbers. Will the fact that this shows we will be returning to Beijing cause any problems?

Also will there be any trouble using the 24-hour free transit the second time we land in Beijing before traveling back to Ireland?

1) No. This is perfectly legal (since you will be going to a third country) and immigration is familiar with such routing so will not make a make a big deal out of it.
2) The issuance of the entry permit of 24-hour transit is technically at immigration's discretion. However they normally won't harass those with a legitimate reason to leave the sterile transit area (e.g., checking in for a connecting flight).
