About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Houston - Tokyo - Osaka - Beijing - Houston

I have the following: Houston - Tokyo (train) Osaka - Beijing - Houston. The Osaka - Beijing - Houston portion of my itinerary is booked with Air China while the Houston - Tokyo leg is with United. I should be eligible for the 72 hour visa exemption? US passport.

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Beijing area. 72 hour TWOV was replaced by more generous 144 hour TWOV a couple of years ago.
