About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Change of number of entries

We will join a cruise ship this August which is in Tianjin, China. After arriving in China, we will sail going to Japan and go back to China after 5 nights. However, we applied for Single entry visa and it will be released this Wednesday. Is it possible to request to change the number of entries while it is on process? If not, are we allowed to apply for visa on arrival instead? Thank you in advance.

Dear, you can't change the number of entries after getting a visa. However, I think maybe you could look into more information on the 24h visa-free transit for your first entry. If it's shorter than 24 hours and your route is qualified, you may not need a visa for this trip, and then you can save the single entry visa for the second trip.
