About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are flying from Vietnam to China to Uk

Hi. We are flying from Vietnam to Beijing (connecting flight guangzhao) then to UK. Will we qualify for 144 hour visa exemption.

No. Two stops limits you to 24 hours transit without in China.

Sorry, as you have layovers both in Beijing and Guangzhou, you don't qualify for 144hours visa exemption.

Thanks for the reply. Just to let you know our destination is Beijing, guangzhou is just a connection. Still not eligible. Sorry for asking again but our flight is tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance.

You will be denied boarding in Vietnam without a visa. You can try to rebook onto a non-stop Vietnam-Beijing flight. I hope your Beijing to UK flight is not on the same ticket, otherwise that will be at risk.

Another option would be to change the date on your ticket so that you are in China for less than 24 hours in total.
