About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From Frankfurt, Germany to (Changsa to Guangzhou) to Manila, Philippines Roundtrip flights

Please help me, I am a Filipino (Passport) nurse and I am working in Frankfurt, Germany. I wish to have my vacation in the Philippines for a month, and I booked a cheaper flight in China Southern Airline.
Do I need a visa for this following flight:?
Frankfurt Germany - layover in Changsa then transfer to Guangzhou (16 hours lay over) - to Manila, Philippines.

Then return ticket Manila to Guangzhou (6 hours layover) to Frankfurt.

Please help me. I am very confused. I tried to call the airline, they said i have to call the China visa application center in Frankfurt, I did but then they told me to call Changsa in China if i needed visa because they dont know also.

Please help me.

You are wasting your time calling the airline or the visa application center. You are allowed 24 hours transit in China without a visa. So, for your first flight, if the time from scheduled arrival in Changsha to scheduled departure from Guangzhou is less than 24 hours then you don't need a visa. For returning to Germany, you don't need a visa for 6 hours connection in Guangzhou, it's a very straightforward international-international connection.
