About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Osaka - Guangzhou- Amsterdam

Hi, I hold a Canada Passport.

I will be flying from Osaka to Guangzhou, arriving at 5pm, then leaving at 12am from Guangzhou to Amsterdam.

I have a friend living in Guangzhou and I would like to have a dinner with him outside the airport and then get back to airport to catch my flight at same night.

Based on the information read, I am allowed to have a free 72 hours Visa, am I correct? Please advise. Thanks Michael

Yes, you are allowed to have a visa-free transit, however, your layover is less than 8 hours, so I'm not sure whether you will be allowed to leave the airport.
